Aynor is a rural, small town in western Horry County, South Carolina that is approximately 30 miles from Myrtle Beach.
Aynor began as a farm in the 1800s under John Eyenner, which is where many think the town got its name from. Aynor used to act as a terminus for a railroad from Conway, SC and officially became incorporated in 1913.
As of 2012, the population is 600 people, 228 households and 158 families in town. Aynor High School is a public school that is one of the nine high schools in Horry County School District. Horry County Schools
